These acrylic ink projects move along pretty fast. I need to do a few in a row so
I remember what I learned from the last one.
I spent the day building up layers of color and texture and this is how it looks right now.

Just adding layers of color and spritzing with water before blow drying.
Trying to get a dark value takes some time.
Here I roughed in the wing position and started detailing the bodies of the dragonflies.
I increased the intensity of the green. It is a similar process to glazing with oil paints.
I added an orange glaze next to the blue eyes for some color contrast.
I went over the orange glaze again to intensify it and brighten up the color.
Using colored watercolor pencils I started adding detail to the first dragonfly.
Here I continued adding detail with the pencils including roughing in the wings.
