Sandhill Crane New Watercolor Work in Progress 1

I started a new watercolor painting today,

 16"x20" smooth watercolor paper.

I made a simple sketch and then painted out the Crane with Maskoid

to paint in the background nice and wet. I added some Kosher Salt to the wet paint in the sky.

I removed the Maskoid and started adding detail to the Crane. I finish up the detail with my watercolor pencils. I want to keep this one fairly loose, we'll see how it goes.
