I've been looking at the painting for a couple days and started adding more detail today.
Here is what it looks like right now.

I started by adding some cool colors into the shadows along with a little more detail on the head.
Adding some highlight detail in the shadow areas of the head.
Refining the face detail especially in the wrinkles.
Did a little work on refining his hands.
More detail on his clothing. I think I will keep adding more detail
until I get tired of it, then I'll be done.
