Harry Potter wands and Bowtruckles

I printed out a couple of my Bowtruckles on my new printer and decided to add
a wand holder for one of the new Elder wands I just made.

Bowtruckle with Elder Wand
Bowtruckles are magical creatures that live in trees that are usually used for wands. They dwell in western England, southern Germany and certain Scandinavian forests. They are pixie-like bark-coloured tree-guardians of about eight inches in height. They have knobbly arms and legs, two twiglike fingers on each hand and a barklike face with small beetle-brown eyes; a camouflage that makes them difficult to spot in their natural habitat. Even though they seem harmless, they have got really sharp fingers; many woodcutters often get injured. They feed on insects, especially woodlice and fairy and Doxy eggs

Dreams are getting closer

It has been a fabulous week. I have ordered new business cards from Moo, some new hard wood spindle blanks to make wands with and a sparkling new Epson Artisan wide format printer. Now I will be able to do my own fine art prints at home. I'm as excited as you can get for someone my age. Now the process begins of waiting for things to arrive, I hate that! I always want it RIGHT NOW, I guess I will be getting a lesson in patience.

I also ordered a couple rolls of art paper and a sample pack of art paper as well. Now I will have to learn about ICC printer profiles.

Wizard wands

I am making these for my daughter in NY who needs them for a play she is working on. They are a lot of fun to make and I am trying to make each one different. I have eight finished so far.
