Trying to make a little progress every day, here is where I am right now.

I applied a glaze coat of Cobalt Blue over the entire sky mixed with a lot of Linseed Oil.
I wanted the sky to go more into the background and have the Hawk come forward with warm colors.
After the glaze dried I decided I didn't like the head and re-worked it.
Here I started working in some detail in the pine needles to bring them forward with the Hawk.
