I've been working another hour on Captain Crush and think it is going along pretty well. I shifted the color of the background and darkened it some to bring the Captain forward. I've added some contrast and detail and need to just look at it for a while now.
I think I want to add more detail to the white lace shirt next. I'm thinking of using a white fine line sketching technique first.
