I've been doing more thinking and watching paint dry than painting lately. I have made a little more progress and here is where I am right now.
After my last post I applied a thin glaze of blue to the background and the clothing.
Here I darkened the clothing even more so I could add more color on top and create more contrast.
Intensifying the color and contrast everywhere. Still not sure about the background. I need to either go with the impressionistic brush stokes everywhere or nowhere.
Here I'm adding some color over the dark clothing. Time to do some more thinking now.
