New Work in Progress: Turtle Island Painting 4

I got some more done today. Here is the painting now.

Here I spent a lot of time refining the sky and adding more color to the beach.

I also refined the tree shape somewhat.

Here I added more depth of color and shadow to the grass framing the right hand side.

Did a little more work on the sky and then started adding detail to the turtle.

More work on the turtle and refined the sand around the back side of the turtle

while decreasing the size of the shadow under his body.

I refined the shape of his shell, the shadows and detail on it.

 I think it will sit for a while now so I can nit pick things that don't look right.
