New Painting Hawk Wings: Work in Progress 3

Made a more progress this morning. Here the painting right now:

To see the step by step photos with descriptions read on after the break.

Here I worked on the shadows on the head and wings and then added some white highlights.

I lightened the sky color and went over it with a blender brush.

Filled in more of the sky at the top of the painting.

Filled in the sky color at the bottom with more Cerulean Blue
and added some shadows to parts of the wings.

Lightened the top left part of the sky and refined the shape of some of the wings.

I switched over to turpentine with a little linseed oil in it and over painted the entire sky
roughing in the cloud shapes and then blending everything with a soft blender brush.

I over painted the shadow parts of the wings with a grey to color correct in the next step.
I also added some Yellow Ochre to the front leg to bring it forward.
